Karesa Rovnan
Karesa is honored to be a trial lawyer. Her top priority in every medical malpractice or injury lawsuit is to get her clients the help they need and the compensation and answers they deserve. Her second priority after making sure her clients immediate needs are met is to expose system failures and hold corporations and for-profit healthcare entities accountable. Karesa has litigated numerous medical malpractice cases and obtained settlement amounts as high as seven and even eight figures. Karesa’s understanding of the need for patient safety and the major causes of healthcare systems failures enables her to fight vigorously for the best results for her clients and stop future suffering.
Karesa has had the privilege of being trained by working alongside two trial attorneys with medical backgrounds, one a physician and one a nurse practitioner. She still serves of counsel at Richards & Richards, LLP, with attorney and nurse practitioner Veronica Richards. These experiences give her an advantage in medical malpractice claims because of Karesa’s in-depth understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in the practice of medicine. Additionally, her knowledge of medicine also gives her an edge in cases of catastrophic injuries, allowing her to understand the extraordinary impact of injuries on her clients’ lives, both now and in their futures.
Karesa is listed in Verdict Search for achieving a Top Pennsylvania Verdict for the largest medical malpractice verdict in Jefferson County. She has been selected to join the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40. She is a member of the prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County where members are only chosen by invitation. She serves on the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Board of Governors. Karesa is also on the Pennsylvania Association for Justice Board of Governors, where she serves as vice-chair of the medical malpractice section.
